Today, the WordPress development team released WordPress 6.2.1. It’s the first maintenance release for WordPress 6.2 and includes 20 bug fixes for the WordPress core and another 10 bug fixes for the block editor. Some of these core fixes address security issues, so you’ll want to upgrade – even if you don’t use the block editor.
We consider this upgrade low risk if you’re upgrading from version 6.2, but if your site is mission-critical or requires high uptime, we still recommend upgrading on a staging server first.
We’ve already started upgrading our own sites as well as our clients’ sites. If we find any issues as we upgrade, we’ll report them on this post so feel free to bookmark it and check back.
If you have any questions about the upgrade or need assistance with the upgrade, please feel free to schedule a no-obligation complimentary consultation. We’d be happy to guide you through the process.
